Great customer service

The originator (Jonathan Cherry) was courteous, very responsive, and flexible. He was in touch with me throughout the process to make sure I knew the status of the loan. The loan processor was not responsive at all, but Jonathan made sure things moved forward and ultimately the loan was approved. The rates were pretty much the same with all lenders I looked at and I was able to negotiate with Wyndham to lower their origination fees. Overall, I had a positive experience.

straight shooters

Ben Teasley was very proactive and honest about the best rate he could offer, and while we didn't pursue a loan application with Wyndham Capital Mortgage, we did have a good feeling they were trying to give us the best deal they could arrange at the time. Very mixed

Initially, I had confidence that Drew Fisher (sales) would provide very high customer service. You could tell he really wanted my business and fought for it, including the promise to float down for free. However, once I locked a rate, he was very wishy-washy when I asked about floating down and kept saying, "We're not there yet," even though I know rates did go down. So that was empty promise #1. He also committed to getting my loan approved in a timely manner, as I needed to remove loan contingencies in 14 days. However, they were late in getting an appraiser (it took a week!), and then the appraiser had errors on their report. So I barely made my deadline within 2 hours. This was needlessly stressful. Failed promise #2. Jessica was great working with the paperwork and was prompt and courteous. But once the loan was approved, I couldn't reach Drew. Prior to me locking, he would answer all calls and emails immediately. But afterwards, he either took days to respond or didn't respond at all. He got his commission, so he was done. I would NOT recommend using Wyndham. They have a good online interface, but I felt that some of their employees lack integrity. I did work with 6 lenders prior to locking, but I would recommend trying elsewhere next time.

Inaccurate Information

I spoke with Chad Groce on a Sunday in which he was very quick to call me after I submitted my information through Lending Tree. Within 20 minutes he had me approved for a $200,000 mortgage and told me the paperwork was on the way. Wel****.After 24 hours there was no preapproval received by email. I contacted him and suddenly his story completed changed. Not only was I no longer approved, but now I could suddenly submit all of my personal information for underwriting review and I could easily be approved. For him to have provided me with false hope and then turn a round and ask for all of my personal information was insulting. I'll never deal with them or refer to anyone.

Friendly But Non-Responsive

Initially, the Mortgage Broker was very friendly and assertive. Once the paper work was filled out and closing on the loan was eminent, it became increasingly difficult to reach the broker. I had to initiate all phone calls. It seemed as if I had to call to make the process move forward. It took four weeks to get a copy of my closing documents and the payoff for my credit card.

Positive Experience - Wyndham Capital Refi

I just finished closing on my refi through Wyndham Captial. Kevin O'Leary was my Mortgage Banker and I highly recommend him. Throughout the entire process Kevin was extremely prompt and thorough with his follow-up. He cleary explained everything to me and the process, and any issues I had were resolved immediately. Their online e-signature system worked very well and closing was done at my home in about 30 minutes at night. Yes you will need to write many quick letters explaining why your history is the way it is for the lender, but if you follow their instructions and are as responsive to their requests as they are to yours - everything will work out fine.

Refinance

The customer service was poor and all I kept receiving was automated emails generated by their email server. When I did speak to a rep, he did not call me back when he said he would and could not definitively give me a decision on what options were available since it was a jumbo loan. When I advised them I was choosing another lender, I received another automated email asking me for the obligatory "another chance" to assisting. How about picking up the phone and calling to discuss options? If your struggling to find a lender to meet my needs, just tell me. There is no need to drag and out and make empty promises.

Would Recommend

Wyndham came with closing the most competively priced loan I was able to find. The broker, Andrew G, I would highly recommend. I was a demanding customer as refinancing is generally a stressful process. Andrew was always very polite and responsive as he navigagted us through to loan completion.

I received an excellent rate and customer service from Wayne Hauser at Wyndham Capital. They worked extremely hard to earn my business. Wayne was always well informed, courteous and helpful and I couldn't have asked for a more professional Mortgage Professional to work with. He was straightforward and honest from the beginning. In the end I went with a local lender because their offer was identical to what Wyndham could do. I'd recommend talking to Wyndham without reservation. They went the extra mile to earn my business.
