not an offer; I had to do all the work

Positive: I got an email message from a real person with a direct phone number, and he followed up by phone a couple of days later. Negative: The email message basically said, "Come fill out the mortgage application on our web site and we'll show you some rates." That's not an offer, in my opinion.

Excellent, prompt customer service

I am very pleased with the customer service I received from Jay Brigman and the entire team at Wyndham Capital. Jay was knowledgeable, prompt, and made sure there were no surprises in the refinance process. On previous refinances, I experienced processing delays, last minute running around to sign documents, and I needed to leave work early to go to the closing attorney's office. With Wyndham Capital, I experienced none of this. Through the use of Wyndham’s electronic document signing process, the upfront document signing to begin the refinance was quick and easy. Additionally, all the intermediate documents were signed well in advance of closing. There was no last minute running around. The closing attorney even scheduled a time to come to my house for the closing - at no extra charge. Wyndham's slogan is, "The Nation's most referrable lender," and I believe it. Thanks again to Jay and the team at Wyndham Capital for a stress-free refinance.

Terrible! Poor Customer Service.

Bobby Maloney contacted me and he was very nice at first and very responsive. My husband & I answered all of his questions (HONESTLY) and provided all of the information he requested in a timely manner. Our loan was disapproved (via a generic email) based on "information we did not provide" as stated by Bobby in an email afterwards. We were eligible for a loan, just not the one we originally chose based on a technicality. We requested to proceed with the other loan; however, Bobby never returned our calls or emails. When I contacted his boss, I did not receive an apology for the lack of response from Bobby or for him not personally contacting us regarding our disapproval. We decided to use another company completely based on this company's poor customer service. We were approved for a loan with the other company and experienced no issues.

60 days to rejection

I got a rejection letter from this company because "ownership of the title was too complicated." In this time of foreclosures, what title is not complicated. This one by the way wasn't. And isn't their job to clarify things like that?!! In addition, Wyndham Capital considered a loan to value of 40% as "too risky" !!!! They had the nerve to tell me this 60 days into the process.

Review of Scott Sopko/Wyndham Capital

I just closed on my 15yr refi with Wyndham last week. I could not have been more satisfied with the way my mortgage banker (Scott Sopko) handled the transaction end-to-end. I'm rather analytical, and I do endless research before making a major decision like this. I think Scott picked up on this early on, and made sure to be responsive to those needs as my thinking went down several different paths until I made the decision that was most comfortable for me. That was the only way I would have been satisfied, and Scott gave me what I needed every step of the way. I appreciate the way he invested his time in the process early on, that gave me a comfort level at the beginning which set him and Wyndham apart from several other lenders I was talking to (some of whom quoted me slightly better rates). In an industry where you can probably always find a slightly better rate if you look hard enough, Scott's approach was a real differentiator between Wyndham and the competition. Every communication from Scott was high-value with very little wasted effort, something Mortgage Lenders probably need from their bankers as time is at a premium. Scott was very professional in all of his communications, something I noticed was lacking in the other bankers I had talked to before selecting Wyndham. I really cannot find anything lacking in Scott's approach with my particular situation, and I will definitely be recommending Scott personally to others that ask about my refi experience. Thanks again so much for the great experience, it truly was more than I ever expected.

Chad Groce and Wyndham a solid option

Chad Groce and Wyndham iprovided a great experience. The customer service and communication were top notch. Although we ultimately ended up going with another lender because of an odd technicality in which they were able to offer slightly better terms, I have zero complaints about Chad and Wyndham and would definitely consider them again for future financing needs.

Couldn't be happier

The people at Wyndham Capital Mortgage were wonderful. They made the experience of buying a home much easier and explained everything to me. Being a first time home buyer and being on my own, my lender did whatever it took to keep in contact and keep the ball rolling. I cannot praise them enough and would recommend Townsend Collins with high regards. He was a true professional and trustworthy.

Refinance

Kyle Major was a pleasure to work with for refinancing our home. Kyle was able to give us the best price and kept us well informed of the required paperwork and process of refinancing. I would definately recommend Wyndham Capital to anyone looking to buy or refinance a home.

Worst service ever

Absolute worst service ever from any of my prior refinance experiences. Time delays everywhere. Took 4months to close, 2 rate extensions!! Broker (Michael) was incompetent, then quit. No one informed us so more time delays. UW (Maria) didn't return phone calls, then requested docs previously sent. Took them 1wk to get IRS transcripts that we got in 10min. New broker, then another UWer. Total waste of time. If it wasn't for the nonrefundable appraisal fee, we would have dropped the app. I absolutely would not recommend the****.to my family, to my friends, to strangers on the road.
