It was real quick in getting the loan. How ever the annual percentage rate is very high. I will be looking to find a better percentage rate.

Great in a pinch

Avant saved me $917 that I would have had to pay in interest because my 0% promotion with Pacific Sales was ending and I didn't have the promotional balance to pay until two weeks after it was due. Avant was fast and they have no $100 upfront fee like Lending Club, but the interest rate is very high, so I paid the loan off in full the minute I could to avoid being back in the same boat of paying too much interest. So, I recommend them if you are in a pinch and need to avoid a high interest on a credit card promotion that is expiring, but I also recommend you pay them off fast or you will pay too much interest.

Interest really high

I've paid over $1200 for a $6000 loan to date yet my current balance is only at just over $5400, these guys take more in interest than actual payment

Poor System

I got a pre approval letter in the mail for a loan. Since I am trying to pay for some final things on my wedding, I went ahead and applied for it. It came back saying that I was pre approved for 13,500. But you could decrease that amount which I did since I did not need anywhere near that amount. The interest rate was no higher than a lot of credit cards (36%), so I read and signed the contract and then I submitted my bank information for payments. When I hit submit, it came back saying the system was down. So I called, they said to just check back after a couple hours. When I did, it came up saying I had been pre-approved for a credit line of 3600. Ummm, what about the loan I applied for? Checked my email, and had an email denying me the loan I had already signed a contract for and given my bank account info for...sketchy! So I call and I'm told that I was not approved for the loan, but was again pre approved for this line of credit. So still needing the money, I decided to do it (interest rate is now stupid at 60%, but I figure the wedding is less than 2 months away, and afterwards I'll just pay off the credit line). So again, I sign the contract and it takes me to a page wanting to verify my income. You can either give them your banking login information (SUPER SKETCHY!) or you can upload your pay stub. That option doesn't work, so again, I call, and I'm told it's best just to give the login info. I decline and then they state that actually there is no verification documents needed from me. I joked that they must have decided to decline the line of credit since I was refusing to give them access to my bank account. I was told I would hear from them within 24 hours. So I guess we'll see how this plays out.

IT TECHNICAL BUGS IN THEIR ACCOUNTING SYSTEM

applied for a loan and was funded, that part went fairly quickly and easily. then came time for the payments to be auto drafted, prior to the first payment being made I logged in with the intent of paying off the loan in full, well the amount to pay off my loan did not match my agreement. I promptly notified Avant and they assured me they were reviewing the issue and would have it resolved. So in the interim the first monthly payment processed. Initially it showed up on my account as processed. Today however I logged in to again look at payoff amts intending to pay the loan off and its still not fixed and now the payment that was originally posted to my dashboard is no longer there and the screen says I changed my due to to 7/7. well this is not good. So I called customer service who tells me that I cancelled my payment and rescheduled it. Good god now i am really livid so I ask for a manger got a manager who also can see the series of emails to their support team dating back to June 19 but can not see my payments. So now i have pulled the transaction details from my bank for her and she still can not locate my payments and they want to pull a double payment out tomorrow. I would not recommend doing business with them until they can correct their accounting systems.

Not impressed

Avant was one of three offers I received - it was twice the interest rate of the offer I chose to go with but I didn't understand the process and they (Avant) funded me. I understood I had 7 days to return the funds for no fees or interest - which I did - but in the process, the customer service rep tried to charge me just over $10 interest for the 3 days I had the funds! I had to explain that I was not going to pay that and then she removed the charge. Definitely will NOT be using this company in the future for anything. But - if you're desperate and it's the only choice, I guess it will work.

Disappointing

Although the process seems quick and efficient at first, use caution. I was approved for a much higher loan than requested which was nice, but because of the very high interest rate and monthly payment, I decided to request a lesser amount. This seemed fine at first until they jacked up my interest to a whopping 36% in less than 24 hours! This made absolutely no sense and there was no explanation for it. So of course, I ultimately did not accept the loan.
